Meet the Rector!

The Reverend Doctor Emily Fraser is the current Rector of the Parish of All Saints, South Hobart.

Mother Emily was inducted into the Parish on February 6th, 2024.

Before moving to All Saints, she was Associate Priest at Christ Church, South Yarra (in the Diocese of Melbourne), and School Chaplain at Christ Church Grammar School. Her previous roles were as an Honorary Associate Priest at St Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne, as Chaplain at Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar School (in Melbourne), and curacies at St Andrew’s, Brighton and St John’s, Camberwell.

She has a PhD, awarded in 2024 on The Christology of the Hymns of Martin Luther, Charles Wesley and John Keble, from the University of Divinity. The thesis grew out of her great love of liturgical music and the profound theological content of hymnody.
